DESCRIPTION: \nWe are a nonprofit organization that receives our funding from individuals\, organizations\, and fundraising. Currently there are over 1.5 million African American men incarcerated in the United States. 2nd Chances.Life is a nonprofit (5013c) organization founded in 2016. Our goal is to reduce recidivism in our communities by not only advocating for those affected but also providing resources such as housing\, employment\, guidance\, education\, and self-development. In Houston\, we currently assist 30 families (78 kids) and 75 individuals with monthly rent\, food\, employment\, mentorship/counseling\, and education. Our 2020 goal is to double the number of candidates enrolled and break ground on a housing community in the city of Houston.\n
